Soft Skills: Refresher

Objective:

The capsule program aims to equip students with essential soft skills for career readiness. It focuses on self‑analysis, academic and skill profiling, and personal branding to build a strong professional foundation. The modules enhance CV and cover letter writing, aptitude and interview preparation, and workplace etiquette. Through focused and targeted training, the program ensures students are well‑prepared for placement processes and professional excellence.

Modules & Topics:

A. Foundation & Profile Building Section:

1. Self-Analysis & Student Profiling (Duration: 1 Hour):

  • Guided self-analysis (strengths, weaknesses, interests).
  • Academic profiling (12th, Graduation, Post-Graduation details’ drafting in CV).
  • Stream, subjects, and specialization mapping.
  • Career direction alignment based on past education & skills.

2. Skills Identification & Personal Branding (Duration: 1 Hour):

  • Identification of Functional Skills.
  • Identification of Transferable Skills.
  • Skill-gap analysis.
  • Personal positioning and branding basics.

3. CV & Cover Letter Understanding & Drafting (Duration: 1 Hour):

  • Résumé/CV structure and formats.
  • Writing impactful bullet points.
  • Customizing CV as per job roles.
  • Cover letter writing (formal & targeted).
  • Common mistakes and professional tips.

B. Placement Readiness & Professional Excellence

4. Assessment & Screening Preparation (Duration: 1 Hour):

  • Aptitude preparation (Quantitative, Logical, Verbal).
  • Online/Offline examination strategies.
  • Voice & Accent basics.
  • Case study approach and evaluation techniques.

5. Interview Process Understanding & Preparation (Duration: 1 Hour):

  • Telephonic & Virtual interview skills.
  • Group Discussion techniques.
  • Personal Interview (FAQs & structured responses).
  • Body language and communication skills.

6. Professional Etiquette & Post-Selection Process & On-boarding (Duration: 1 Hour):

  • Pre-Placement Talk preparation.
  • Researching company & industry trends.
  • Smart questions to ask recruiters.
  • Offer acceptance/rejection via professional email.
  • Documentation process (offline/online, Google Drive, email, post).
  • Workplace readiness and final checklist.

 Assessments:

Students can be evaluated through Mock Interviews/Group Discussions in both “Online and Offline” Mode. Further assessments consists of Email writing and Cover Letter writing. After evaluation further areas of improvement will be taken care by special training (Extension Programs).
